Support
The short version
- Email support@kerge.app — usually a reply within a few days.
- Include your device, OS version, and the app version (Settings → About).
- Your data lives only on your device — uninstalling the app removes everything.
1. Contact
For help, bug reports, or feedback, email support@kerge.app. Kerge is built by an individual developer in Estonia, so replies are not 24/7 — expect a response within a few business days.
For questions specifically about how Kerge handles your data, see the Privacy Policy or write to privacy@kerge.app.
2. Reporting a bug
To help us reproduce and fix an issue quickly, please include:
- The device model and OS version (e.g. iPhone 14 / iOS 18.2)
- The app version — find it in Settings → About inside Kerge
- What you were doing when the bug happened, and what you expected to see
- A screenshot or screen recording, if it's a visual issue
3. Frequently asked questions
Where is my data stored?
Everything you log — workouts, plans, settings — lives in a local SQLite database on your device. There is no cloud sync and no Kerge account. See the Privacy Policy for the full picture.
How do I back up my data?
Open Settings → Data in the app and use Export to save a copy of your database to your device or a cloud drive. The same screen has an Import option to restore from a previous export.
How do I move my data to a new phone?
Export your database from the old phone (Settings → Data → Export), transfer the file to the new phone (AirDrop, iCloud Drive, Google Drive, email-to-yourself — anything works), install Kerge there, and use Settings → Data → Import.
Why doesn't Kerge sync across my devices?
By design. Kerge has no servers and no accounts — everything stays on your device. Cloud sync is being considered for a future release; in the meantime, manual export/import works as a workaround.
Apple Health isn't showing my workouts
First, make sure permissions are granted: iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Health → Kerge, and check that both reading and writing are enabled for the data types you care about. Workouts written by Kerge appear in the Health app under Browse → Activity → Workouts.
I can't import a plan from a QR code
Make sure the camera permission is granted: iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Camera → Kerge (or the Android equivalent). The QR scanner is only active while the import screen is open and the feed is never recorded.
How do I delete all my data?
Uninstalling the app removes the local database and all associated data from your device. There is nothing for us to delete on a server because there is no server.
Is Kerge free?
Yes — Kerge is currently free, with no ads and no in-app purchases.
Which languages are supported?
English, Estonian, Russian, and German. The app picks up your device language automatically; you can override it in Settings → General → Language.
